Electrotherapy

Electrotherapy is a term used to describe the stimulation of the body through externally applied electrophysical agents.  In all cases use of the various therapies is backed up with current clinical research and is evidence based practice.

Electrotherapy

Electrotherapy modalities can be broadly divided into two categories;

Tissue repair (PEMF, laser and ultrasound)
Pain relief (tens, interferential, muscle stimulation)

…although there may be some cross over in effect between these two groups.
Electrotherapy works with the body to promote and enhance a natural process of repair where it has slightly lost momentum.  The electrotherapy modalities are an extremely effective and pain free way to work reinforce the body’s own ability to recover and can give some very exciting results.
